Renault Kwid Amt Launched Details Inside

Renault Kwid AMT priced at Rs 4.25 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

In India, Renault has released the Kwid AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission). This type of automatic only comes with the 1.0-liter gasoline engine. This hatchback with an AMT gearbox will compete with the Maruti Suzuki K10 AMT.

Only the top-of-the-line RXT (O) version of the Renault Kwid is available with an automatic transmission. The price has stayed at Rs 4.25 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings for this car started a couple of weeks ago, and now customers can also book their Kwid AMT through the Renault Kwid app, which is available for both iOS and Android.

The 1.0-liter Sce engine in the Kwid AMT makes 70PS of maximum power at 5,500rpm and 91 Nm of maximum torque at 4,250rpm. A 5-Speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearbox will be in charge of the transmission. The company called this gearbox "Easy-R AMT" because it will have a Shift Control Dial to switch between Drive, Neutral, and Reverse. There is no Tiptronic option, so you can't change gears by hand like you can with regular AMT units.

Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director of Renault India Operations, said, "The Renault Kwid has changed the way people think about compact hatchbacks in India. It has become one of the most popular cars in all segments." AMT technology is becoming more popular in the compact hatchback segment as customer tastes change. We are happy to add to our lineup by releasing the Kwid AMT."

Five colours of paint are available for the Kwid AMT: "Fiery Red," "Ice Cool White," "Moon Light Silver," "Outback Bronze," and "Planet Grey." The Kwid AMT has 13-inch steel wheels with 155-80R13 tyres on them.

The Renault Kwid AMT has the same look as the Kwid 1.0 MT from the outside. The butch face, flared wheel arches, simple taillights, 180mm ground clearance, and other SUV-like exterior design features are still there. The checkered-flag sticker on the door moulding is the first sign that this is the Kwid with the 1.0 motor. The AMT badge is another clear sign of the same thing. The Kwid also comes with a 50,000km/2-year warranty that can be extended for a fee and a free 2-year roadside assistance package.
